Why are perfumes expensive?

Why are perfumes expensive?

Why are perfumes expensive?

WHY ARE PERFUMES SO DAMN EXPENSIVE?

This is a question people ask quite often, and is always followed up by the question, are these perfumes worth it? The later we will answer in a different blog, and in this blog you will get to know why they are so damn expensive.

A perfume basically consists of 3 things, the juice, the bottle and the brand. These 3 things make up the price of the perfume you are going to buy, and most of it comes down to juice.

The perfumes we love today, wear everyday with confidence, get compliments for, which get us the attention we want, are no one hit wonders. Perfumes from all the big houses, Chanel, Dior Aventus, Gucci, Mont Blanc, Paco Rabbane, Guerlain, Issey Miyake, the list goes on, the perfumers here have taken a lot of time, done a lot of sampling, made a lot of perfumes which smell almost the same but not perfect like the one sold at Perfume Network India.

1. The Juice / Perfume DNA

Sometimes, the perfumers are almost there with perfect fragrance but something doesn't sit right. Sometimes, the ingredients just don't work. All this hassle is added to that price tag. Brands do charge for this because the perfume made at the end, is PERFECT and it works, that's their DNA, and something they can charge for, because no brand can replicate that, or no brand has that same exact recipe. Making a perfumes takes a lot of flower petals, a lot, and that too comes with a cost.

The ingredients used in these perfumes are also very important, because essentially the ingredients used are crops, for example patchouli, and it all comes down to the crop. If the crops fails due to any reason there is a shortage for that ingredient and it drives up the price. Everything in crops is a prediction with no certainty.

Some brands even buy the recipe from some perfumers, and that comes with a hefty cost, which is added to the price tag.

2. Bottle and Packaging

The bottle of the perfume is also an important part, the special designs we see, the quality, the multiple quality checks which certain brands have and certain don't also come with a price, and the same is with packaging.

3. Brand

The final factor which makes the perfume expensive is the brand value. Brands do charge for their name, and the reputation they have, which adds to the cost as well.

When everything is put together, with the best olfactory experience at Perfume Network India, that is when you get your money's worth.
