What's the difference between Deodorant, Deostick and Perfume?

What's the difference between Deodorant, Deostick and Perfume?

How Body Odour is Formed?

Body Odour greatly depends on the food we eat, as it digests the food, the carbohydrates, proteins and fats in the food, and as a result our body secretes sweat which is basically bacteria, which highly depends on the diet we eat and our lifestyle.

What are the 3 main products used for it?

1. Deostick/Antiperspirant
2. Deodorant
3. Perfume

Job of Deostick

The main job of a Deostick/Antiperspirant is to block the sweat glands on our body, or block the sweat glands where the deostick/antiperspirant is applied. It acts as a layer, which exists above our sweat glands. As a result less sweat is secreted by our sweat glands, thus reducing our body odour.

Job of Deodorant

Deodorant consists of a chemical compound, which destroys the body odour, that is the bacteria existing at that moment on our skin. It consists of essential oils, and has a very low perfume concentration, and its main job is to destroy the bacteria created by our sweat glands.

Job of Perfume

Perfume has a very high concentration of essential oil, and works in no such way as Deostick/Antiperspirant or Deostick. It's main job is to provide the user with fragrance.

What's for you?

1. Deostick/Antiperspirant should be used by someone who sweats a lot , his/her sweat glands over excrete, as a result sweat glands will be blocked and less sweat will be secreted.

2. Everyone has a different composition of sweat, and bacteria acts differently on it, so Deodorant eliminates that bacteria, as a result kills the bacteria which makes you smell bad. Someone having a very a bad odour should use deodorant.

• Both Deostick/Antiperspirant and Deodorant carry very little fragrance, that too just to appease the customer, thus the fragrance won't last very long.

3. If you want to smell great and have a signature scent, you should go for a perfume, as it has a very high essential oil concentration, and it will help you smell better and get compliments.
